One Tree Hill fans will be ecstatic to hear that the hit CW show has been picked up for another season! The gang of Tree Hill will come back for its 9th season, although some of the series’ most popular characters may not be returning for the final hurrah.
So who can fans expect to see back for the 9th – and most likely last – season? Brooke and Julian (played by real-life couple Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols) will be returning, alongside Haley Scott (played by Bethany Joy Galeotti). It’s also been confirmed that Alex Dupre (played by Jana Kramer), Clay (played by Robert Buckley) and Quinn (played by Shantel VanSanten) will all return.
Mouth and Millie are expected to reprise their roles – and Dan Scott (played by Paul Johansson) will return to stir things up – but there’s a question mark beside one of the most popular faces on the show. Aoparently James is still renogotiating his contract and isn’t sure if he’ll be returning for the final season.
Nathan Scott (played by James Lafferty) has been a staple of the show since Season 1. How will One Tree Hill return for a season without Nathan? What will happen to Haley and Jamie and their new baby?
So, there you go guys: Season 9 has been confirmed as a go. The question is, can the show really go on without Nathan Scott?
